Synopsis: The X-Men get in a misunderstanding fight with Spider-Man instead of getting on with the business of rescuing Professor X.
CHRONOLOGICAL NOTES

Banshee has spent weeks searching central Europe for signs of Factor Three. After his last appearance in X-Men (1963) #28, it was said that he returned to Ireland, but he mustn't have stayed there for long, as I have #28 placed just a couple of months ago.

Banshee has been operating out of a rented chalet. He's obviously been looking for Factor Three with the help of Professor X, who gave him a bunch of advanced devices to aid his search.

Peter Parker talks about having a lost weekend, and since he has time away from classes to go riding in the country it probably is a Saturday or Sunday. He's just fought the Kingpin, which is probably referring to Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #51.

Spider-Man says that he hasn't seen the X-Men since they tried to recruit him back in X-Men (1963) #27. Normally I'd say that means there shouldn't be any Spidey/X-Men stories happening during that time, but there's always the possibility that one happened and Professor X gave Spidey a mind-wipe.

At some point (probably before he left for Ireland) Professor X installed a special tracking crystal in Banshee's headband. At least that explains why he's still wearing the damn thing.

Spider-Man talks about getting a Summer cold, which is something I'm going to have to ignore. I currently have this issue taking place in January, and while that reference would work fine for my home country of Australia it's not going to cut it for the USA. I'll have to say that this is just Spidey being flippant. (Of course there's always the notion that time runs differently for different Marvel characters; it almost has to to make sense of the way characters seem to age at different rates. But that's a much more wide-ranging idea, and outside of the scope of this blog. I'm just trying to make sense of the X-Men here.)
COUNTING THE DAYS
This story takes place over one day, probably on the weekend and no more than a few days after last issue.
